KETCHUP woohoo!

Ok, so I have just recently found out about Heinz's competition for KEtchuP commercials..I'm a little excited and determined to enter the contest.....I'm going to start I think with "practice" videos...woohoo, because we all know that I am a condiment lover and ketchup is pretty much at the top of that list....with texas pete of course..they are my men...heinz and pete.. so..if anyone has any good ideas of commercials i should try...please let me know!! So..i'm seriously bored sittin' at school...and on top of it I'm on drugs..yep...I have this not good cold ..actually i can't figure out what it is..but i know it involves aching, sneezing..sleepiness...a sore throat this morning ick, and some funny head feelings...so I did something yesterday I havent' done in a long time. I took some medicine, drank some green tea, and got into bed at 7:30...you know something is wrong when I go to bed that early! Then this morning I had this brilliant idea.....to take the rest of my prescription medicine that I should have taken when I had strep throat recently..ha...what a smart girl! NOT!! Who knows...oh well...i'm takin' medicine and drinkin hot tea all day and crossin' my fingers..cause tomorrow is gonna be a long day..and so is Friday for that matter! I can make it...I can make it!!


To make matters even more interesting I wake up to a message from a friend tellin' me to bring them some brownies..now what fool thinks I am gonna get up out of bed..and cook brownies and go deliver them :-P ?? haha... oh well...maybe tonight...I need somethin to look forward to in this dreary week...

Dude..I need a nap..gettin' up at 5:30 makes for a sleep girl....

just gotta make it till 3 oclock..then its shower and nap time..in my clean apartment which is gonna smell nice cause i'm goin home to light candles..yay!! Relaxin' afternoon ahead....

Remember when you were a kid, and watched the little mermaid?? (over and over) There was always that part where they were in the boat where you just wanted to scream at them to kiss...I mean, you knew they couldn't hear you, and you knew they weren't gonna because of those stupid eels, and no matter how many times you watched it you just knew this time they were really gonna KISS! Its crazy isn't it that even though we were that young, we understood that feeling. The excitement of anticipation, wanting so much to share a moment, something special with someone else. Somewhere...in all of the pains of growing up, and the thoughts and responsiblities of the world that come crashing in....i think we lose a little bit of that feeling, of knowing how important it is to be that close to another. Seems like life get's to be an ongoing rerun of Dawson's Creek....I guess right now...I'm hoping mine will go back to being a little more like The Little Mermaid.....even if a few eels do get in the way every now and then.....

So it was a pretty good low key weekend, which was definately needed...I kinda will have to say that I had sort of an overload of UE Review of Anatomy Today...although typing every word the dude says is rather tedius, time consuming and recquires entirely too much focus for me...the dvd is useful so i'd recommend it for review...




but i've had enough of it for one day...or maybe even for a very very long time. :-P

Oh wait..we did cook breakfast this morning..and that was rather exciting..and yummy...doesn't take much for me ha!

its been a rather eventful weekend in the kitchen which usually doesn't happen....

Things I cooked this weeekend:
Okra
Yellow Rice
Noodles for pasta salad
Terryaki chicken and rice
Mexian Rice and Chicken with black beans
Asian Chicken and Rice bake
Chocolate Chip pancakes
and shannon cooked the cheezy eggs to go with!


I would have to say I have this theory now...days that begin by making chocolate chip or blueberry muffins, or chocolate chip pancakes...always turn out better than days without them.

ooo and moes was super good the other day..and so was starbucks and scrabble even though BrEe CHEATED!! I'm just warnin' ya'll....if you're gonna play scrabble with Bree you need a very large dictionary, and you need to watch out cause she will slip in little abbreviations, proper nouns..ooo and she wants to use french too even if you don't know french!! She's a sneaky one!!


Voodoo was fun last night too..a change from the usual spots we chill....besides the fact that the waitress seriously studied my ID and still didn't believe I was 21...she didn't have to say it...we all knew it.

umm...I've been a little slack on the blogging lately...I know this..but I've been havin' lotsa fuN!



So class started yesterday...yesterday?? Wow that already seems like forever ago...dang haha

The pirate party was fun :-P We definately still have remnants of pirate decorations scattered about our apartment.

The weekend was fun..loved the beach...(note to self do not go back to off the hook....just wait for a table at PoE's!)
Wild Wings was fun as always...really liked the band!! And surprise suprise we're goin back to wild wings this SATURDAY!!! Yay!! Saturday should be a blast...Charleston boozapalooza then headed to the wing!

This morning's class was good..I enjoyed the guest speaker...and then I laughed quite a bit in the next class due to Dr. Mitcham's witty sayings!

For instance:

"You can use those words after the third martini...before that....I would choose a synonym."

"There's more than one way to skin a banana"

Then Bree and i found an adventure..surprised?? We went to go move our cars and were patting ourselves on the back for the brilliant move that would enable us to leave class oh so much quicker and avoid riding the bus at six oclock. However...being the genius little blondes that we are we quickly figured out upon arrival at our cars that we still had 30 minutes before we could park in the parking garage...so....what do we do?? Of course we walk to arby's! Woohoo..and boy were they slow slow slow! But we got a free milkshake out of it! Super! ha..fun times at the MuSc...haha


Now...its almost time to go to upper extremity elective which will surely prove to be hilarious because Peter and Dr. Thomas are teaching it together..they are gonna be sooooo cute I can't wati! haha....I'll have to update on it afterwards...

then I am gettin the heck out of here to go home and put on some blue jeans (not a big fan of professional dress).....and then possibly go get some ice cream?? (that's fine...you can make fun of me i don't care I can handle it!! :-P)

oh my gosh!

You guys!!! Oh my gosh..I seriously can't believe this is our last week of classes. Exams next week and then its our last school of semester...i mean semester of school!! haha..see its freakin' me out!! i can't believe it!

So today was a good day...got up..drank some coffee with hazelnut cream and whip cream on top..yum..i'm a coffee maker i am! Then i worked on those vicious neuro questions that no one is done with yet! uh huh...then watched the first half of titanic..slightly silly i know but I've actually never seen it so it seemed like the thing to do. Got antsy so i went and FINALLY finished getting the last stuff from the move out of my car..woopeee!! Yay for me..and actually sat up my seats so i have a normal car again...yay about that.

Tried to work on some neuro some more..wasn't happening at all...so... i convinced shannon to accompany me to Food Lion...a special stop at our "candy shop" hee hee...and then to dolla tree where we hit them up! Ya i'm crazy but we did have fun. We came back all excited cause we got a microphone for our band!! however...the plug on that thing is a lil big so we have to regroup and come up with a new idea...hmmm...either an adapter(not likely) or we need to get a new mike...ya prolly the latter of the two....

Then we had to leave for class..blah..where we have been learning about sex...and poop..not the most exciting thing ever....
Shannon has been planning our porch party for the weekend during class tentatively scheduled for saturday...prolly i should figure out what day our exams is/are?? haha..prolly

ET is tryin' to convince me to to eat after class...but..i'm thinkin i should take my lil behind home and try to finish this neuro stuff and work on the other two assignments that I've blocked from my mind...hmmm...ya maybe that with a lil law and order...sounds like an exciting night to me!! guess i should go try to pay attn now...

So..I was tryin' very hard to be productive this afternoon...I went on over to the food lion to get me some groceries now that we are in the new apt!! So i get my buggy all full with my stuff and I'm walkin down the isle...with the detergent...very exciting isle....and all of the sudden the lights go out..and the bottom falls out of the sky. So they tell everyone to come to the front of the store...and i'm like pushing my buggy tryin not to hit things in the freakin' pitch black dark and there is another guy on my isle and it is just creepy!! So they all scurry around makin calls and stuff and everyone's standin up front with their buggies and i can here this guy who works there sayin' "they tryin' to send me to the back..i ain't goin back there in the dark...dangerous"...well a few min later they are like "we need everyone to leave now..thanks"...so i left.....being that there was no electricity at our apt either i headed on over to the publix to "re-shop"...i'm not sure if that is a word...but that is totally what i did...so i kinda had two fun grocery shopping trips today and now i kinda think maybe sometimes it is better to take a friend with you just in case you end up in the dark!
So i survived and came back to the apt...and we chilled out for a bit...with no power..and then Shelly took me to STARBUCKS!! best part of the day yo! That white mocha was soooo good and i definately needed it! ne ways on my cup was this little saying and I told Shelly I'd put it in my blog just for her so here goes!

thankful

wow what a whirlwind weekend!! Seems like I haven't even had time to breathe!!

It began really with camp on Friday morning...we knew it was going to be a long long....long long...very long busy day..but I don't think we could have begun to prepare ourselves for how very long it actually was.

The waterpark was CRAZEE but lots of fun as well!! One of my favorite days at camp so far!!
Poor Bree..i was feelin' bad for her though...bein hungover that day had to be sheer TORTURE!

Then there was wildwings....Note to self: Never Eat Wildwings before MOVING!! BAD IDEA!
Fun..but a very very very bad idea. So after a much needed break and lunch/dinner at wildwings...Shay Shay and I headed back to the apartment to get our move on!!

And...we are so so so lucky and blessed to have friends!! Because shortly after we started moving Christina showed up to help and then shortly after that Sam showed up with his truck!
Christina's new name is "hoss" bc the chick can sure carry some furniture!! We must have made a million trillion trips up and down stairs with all manner of things and truck rides back and forth ....by the end of the night every part of us was aching!! We finally pooped out cause we couldn't do ne more! So the four of us crashed ....Shelly's parents brought us drinks from SONIC, and tina got her some chinese..then all four of us drug our worn out behinds to the pool for a little night swimming which turned out to be more like night vegging in the pool. we were too tired to move!! Afterthat our faithful companions went home and shannon and i camped out in the living room on the couches cause we had no beds haha....and she put in a scary movie "when a stranger calls"...fun times....we woke up in the morning and after a cup of coffee we were back at it hard and strong again!! No showers even..we were hardcore and Sam and christina were back again to help us finish...we all worked our tails off! And Shelly's parentals were really sweet too her Dad took down my curtains and put them back up for me!! He did call me a redneck once...but I'll forgive him for that...cause i laughed when he fell up the stairs..haha...shelly did too!...laughed i mean...
So ne ways...when the moving was almost done we had PIZZA for lunch...i love pizza by the way...seriously love pizza!! Then we all took a short rest break and had a lil much needed quiet time. I really didn't think I was gonna make it that there was no way I could do ne thing..but we pulled it together..got ourselves dressed and headed out to Carisa's for her Redneck/Moonbounce party! I am sooooo glad we went it was a blast!!

I have to say that having a moonbounce was like the best idea ever!! it was quite fun...the whole night was!! It was good to see everyone and shannon was hilarious with her dale earnheart getup....Jenni and Lauren brought the cutest lil OT cake and Shannon and I.....as usual hung in till the end...heck we spent the night!! We're like those gests thta never leave!! Haha...

Shannon made some big steps towards her fear of dogs...We almost let cooper sleep with us..but she said no..haha....

Oh and this morning was great when Carisa's husband came walkkin into the kitchen in a speedo!! I just covered my eyes..haha they are CRAZY....but so are we so its all good....

Moe's for lunch was perfect!! Went back on over to old 621 and finished gettin' the rest of our junk!! We are finally DONE!! yay!! We are moved in woohoo!! finally done!! i'm a lil excited bout it!!! So i should try to get some work done now but i'm just plain pooped....did i mention i love pizza? So I may wash a little clothes..do a little work..watchin a little lifetime...you know how it goes!! Maybe make a fun lil trip to the food lion....gotta love Sunday afternoons after a very busy...but very good weekend...at the moment i'm just very thankful
i'm a lucky girl to have people who care about me and will be there for me when i need them :-)

aqua shaped dreams of optimism

so tomorrow is the waterpark...beaver reunion shortly after at wild wings, and then workin' our behinds off to move our junk!! I can't even imagine what the day is gonna be like.....i'm sure there will be stories...

lesson of the night is...friends are important...even if they make u watch really bad bad corny dorky sappy bad movies...they can save you from having to marry some evil blow fish and help you find love with the man..i mean boy..you choose




on a serious note...i was thinking.....i'm afraid i'm in fact an idealist...i imagine that is why i have chosen the career that i have....however I am also that way in thinking about others and the future. I have this picture in my head of what I expect someone to be like..I always have such high expectations of others.....and I guess this makes it easy to be let down...but what's the alternative?? I think I'll stick with assuming the best ..picturing the future to be everything that I hope...and who knows?? Maybe one day I'll be shocked to find things are even better than I could have imagined.

Unrealistic? Maybe...but quite happy to stay that way!
