What a week it has been..i'm just happy to have survived it...there is so much to look forward too!! We just gotta hold out a little longer!! Two more weeks of class...one week of exams..then rotation in Cola...Savannah for some R&R for a few days....Charlotte to rock out at the AOTA conference w/my gurlz! :-P ..then i dunno..but i'm thinkin two weeks of road trippin' or havin a week long "house party" in Charleston :-) Things are lookin up..just gotta hold it down for a few more weeks!

I realize now that I may have a small problem....I think i have one too many things on my mind right now and am possibly very close to a burn out if i don't get a serious break seriously soon...i mean there is only so much one girl can handle! I think i'm not alone in this feeling right now which makes me feel slightly...only slightly better about it..however today has been one of those days where you are quite sure that you either got up on the wrong side of the bed...or should not have gotten up at all..I mean its possible that rather than good karma I have bad karma or no karma at all....
I mean I did in fact spill the same bottle (with sealable cap) of coffee 2 times within 10 yards and 2 minutes of each other...who does that??
I guess I really wasn't all that worried until just a few minutes ago. I'm trying to boil like 4 dozen eggs for tomorrow because we're dying easter eggs with the folks at active day. Well....i was putting the eggs down in the water all gently..and i heard something... i swear, i'm not making it up..i swear i heard CHIRIPING...it was like squeak squeak...and then chirp chirp...i am NOT lying!! I HEARD IT!! So i completely freaked out and started picking up all of the eggs out of the water one at a time and placing them to my ear to try and hear which one this chirping was coming from...i did in the middle of this act realize how completely insane i must be but i kept right on doing it till i found....after several minutes and lots of intense listening, the egg containing the CHICK...or atleast that's what i thought...and I have NO IDEA why i would think it would be possible for an egg that has been in the refridgerator and in the grocery store to somehow have a baby chick that begins chirping when placed in warm water...and somehow my mind thought i was drowning a poor helpless little chick...so i thought he needs to be "incubated"..and no lie...i went right ahead and put him under a desk lamp and watched and listend cause i thought i could hatch him...i thought i could...
That's when it hit me!
While standing at the counter watching and listening as intently as possible it hit me that in fact, its very possible that i am COMPLETELY LOSING MY MIND!I mean how can i possibly think that i can pass a pathophysiology test tomorrow, when at that very moment i fully believed i could hatch a small chicken onto my kitchen counter....
Needless to say i snapped myself back out of it and put the poor non-chick filled lifeless egg back into the pot and turned off the lamp....I need a BREAK! I'm just afraid if something doesn't change i'm only going to get worse..next i'll be trying to hatch something from a hotdog or something.....wow...that's all i gotta say....

weekend?? what weekend?

I don't know how it happened, but the weekend just zipped right by...I feel like I got jipped(how do you spell that?) Well, regardless...lots of good painting, and lots of good help, and really lots of fun! (updated pics)
Plus, I discovered a new place that i like to eat that has a marvelous Greek salad! :-)
This cold weather really needs to go though, i'm completely ready for summer, barefeet, goin to the POOL, and the beach! I've had quite enough of this chilly wind! It was 36 degrees when we left the apt to go paint yesterday morning..my lips are seriously chapped and I'm not real happy about that. I am however happy that this week, mexi thurs, has been moved to mexi monday..woo hoo! And apparently today is "national kite flying day"? Atleast that is what Shannon says...so its possible that I might end up freezing my butt off on the beach this afternoon flying a dollar kite from the ghetto James Island wal-mart..but that seriously is up for debate at this point in time d/t the fact that I really need to atleast begin studying for patho...blah
just gotta hold it down till next weekend where i will be painting again! but the end is in site!!
Three more weeks and its no class for a while! AND ITS ALMOST SUMMER!
I'm just a little excited! Just a little. ;-)

Mexican, Walmart, and Chicken Poo

I must say this week has been anything but boring! Crazy maybe, but not boring...
I was so ready for spring break to be over...I missed everyone!! The adventures have been numerous...first of all, Shelly got "spanked" at mario...luigi needs to go bak home!
I love mexi thursday randomness, last night we went to el dorado and saw my friend Nickel, atleast i think that is his name....haha...I had some wonderful nachos with beans...which apparently didn't appear to be too appetizing (i thought they were) but ET had other ideas....her comment being "I didn't want to tell you but those nachos looked like they had doritos on top...i mean diarhea"..ha...so having survived the whole mexican thing we decided it was neccessary to visit and celebrate the opening of the SUPER WAL-MART in West Ashley, we're a little excited about it...and I was even more excited when we got there...because first of all, there was the hugest cow ever in the parking lot..i mean i want that cow..it was awesome! Then we had lots of fun inside...because of things like electronic woopee cushions, and face conforming green things....we liked the toy section...we did however get a few neccessities while we were there so it wasn't totally a just to play trip. And by the way...the bathroom there smelled like apples...for real. Oh well, so we survived the rainy trip to wal-mart at night :-P

Today is definately going to be quite an interesting Friday..I know this because we didn't even make it out the door this morning without serious mishap!
We were trying to take out the trash cause my mom is coming today and we've been tryin' to tidy the apt a lil bit.....however.....maybe it wasn't supposed to happen this morning, because once we had gotten completely ready, bookpack's on our backs, pocketbooks and coffee mugs oh and keys in hand we tried to grab all the trashbags...seeing as how we are supergirls we thought we could manage it ok, and i suspect we would have if the bottom of the trashbag hadnt decided to give out just as Shell Dawg was crossing the threshold of our door...so this stuff that pretty much looks like internal organs plopped down right between her legs. I was in shock...it was however some chicken stuff she had cooked in the crockpot which i now declare chicken poo...and having seen it on the floor i have determined I will NEVER be able to eat that stuff if she ever cooks it again without throwing up! For real, it was deeesgusting! And it got on her pants...so we aborted the trash taking mission and tried to salvage our clothing...poor Shelly though got it on her shoe and pants....and on the way to school, in the car I could totally smell it.
So at the bus stop she tried to wash her shoe off in a puddle..it was great...so i'm thinkin we should watch out cause it might be another "freaky friday"
Oh well, so on serious matters, Mom is gettin' here at 3 so we can try to wash the deck at Active Day and tomorrow morning bright and early we resume painting! Excitement! Hope it doesn't rain...and that its warm..we are gonna be alll bundled up!
So right now i'm chillin in pathophysiology on the front row..typin' in my blog and listenin to music on my mp3 player..I'm such a Rebel! ;-)

can't sleep...

so its like one thirty and i can't sleep... maybe shouldn't have napped so much today...

We got soooo much done this weekend! The painting is coming along! Check out the pics of our progress so far. Then last night we went out and today i slept and hung out with Christina...i'm such a bum..i have been on this couch pretty much all day...
Oh and then there was this small thing where the internet at the apt wouldn't work and I decide to give up trying to make it at oh about 10 till five...knowing my fieldwork narrative was due at five and knowing Jerry gets pretty mad abot em bein late. So i just grabbed my computer and hopped in the car and Christina took me to school..haha..i'm such a disaster! So i sent it in from the parking lot and the time on the email says 4:59...that is like barely on time..he's prolly gonna email me back and say he didnt' recieve it till like 5:01 ...ugh...oh well... :-P

Freaky Friday!

Ok so today was quite the funny afternoon...crazy actually. I should have expected it because really anytime my Mom and I get together things just seems to get CraZee!!

I'd say the fun started with Grayson's beautifully crafted plastic trash bag dress, and Shelly and Cara's wonderful cupcakes that the nurses nicknamed "grandma's biscuits" because they did in fact look more like buscuits than cupcakes. Then came the KILLER bugs that tried to eat us alive....once we survived all that I thought it would be a nice evvening of dinner and relaxation but i should have known better....there was the small incident at mama fu's which was QUITE embarassing...lets just say..if you're gonna grab a pair of jeans that are dirty...make sure you don't have underwear in them still....umm..ya..cause i def had underwear hanging out the bottom of my pants leg...u dont' get much worse than that.....then after getting back to the apartment there was this little thing where we thought we were getting attacked by a dog (which was really inside an apt) so my mom and i tried to climb up the back of the car and kept pulling each other down. We almost killed each other and there was NO DOG...well, atleast not outside....
Its definately been a very very long but fun Friday! I've definately started spring break in a unique way..can't wait to see what craziness will happen tomorrow!! 8 oclock is gonna come really really early...so night ya'll!

update....spring brake

Ok, so i was told i need to update ....so here it is...these are some pics of the deck at Active day..It looks really sad I know, but we're about to cheer it up!! We've already started by putting some plants out there and its already starting to look a little more cheerful!
And...on another cheerful note...today is the first day of SPRING BREAK!! :-) and my mom is going to be here in a couple hours to meet us at Active Day!! Then the next two hours will be filled with Watergun tye dye, cupcakes with GrEeN icing, and decorating soap! Woohoo! How could I not be excited?? Plus...tomorrow we start painting!! I'm so excited to get started! This deck is going to look so much better once we're through with it! I'll post more pics as we make progress!!
And the weather couldn't be more perfect, its a beautiful day and it feels like spring!! I love it! It's as if God said " I made you a beautiful day...now go do something good!"....well, those might not be his exact words... :-) but i'd like to think so!
Yay for not having to think about exams or projects or anything but fun, friends, and family for a few days! I'm thrilled! Happiness!
